What’s in season or really popular right now with shoppers?
Right now, people are loving fresh, feel-good options and we’re seeing shoppers drawn to colourful, health-focused treats like ours.
What’s your favourite thing in-store at the moment?
The vibrant look and feel of La Isla. We’ve had so many compliments on how beautiful and bright our space is, it brings a little burst of the tropics to Butler Central.
What’s the best part of your job?
When we meet our customers’ expectations and hit our goals. That feeling of knowing we’ve delivered something people enjoy and want to come back for is incredibly rewarding.
Do you have local customers you know by name, or like to have a chat with?
Yes, we’re starting to build those connections already. Some customers have become familiar faces, and we love stopping for a friendly chat, it’s part of what makes our day.
Name two things you like most about working at Butler Central.
The cleanliness of the centre and how welcoming and friendly some of the surrounding shops are. It’s a great environment to work in.
Do you have a favourite time of year in the centre and if so, why?
We’re still new to the centre, so we’re excited to experience it all - from festive seasons to summer vibes.
What was your dream job when you were a child?
I always wanted to be a teacher.
What trends or changes in the industry are you most excited about?
Artificial Intelligence and the resurgence of live events. We love seeing how innovation and community experiences are blending in new ways.
Tell us a little about your La Isla Fresh Juice and what inspired you to start it?
We’ve always been entrepreneurs and love bringing new ideas to life. La Isla is about more than juice -it’s about representing our Colombian culture with pride, offering quality and creating something that brings joy and wellbeing to others. We want every drink to feel like a moment of happiness and health.
What do you think sets Charter Hall apart from others in the industry?
The centre feels fresh and modern, with great access and plenty of parking. It’s a place that feels considered and customer friendly.
What do you value most in a tenant–customer relationship?
Support from centre management in areas like marketing, events and general security makes a huge difference. It helps tenants feel part of something bigger and gives us tools to grow.
What are your interests in life—any hobbies or obsessions?
I love reading and watching movies, anything that helps me unwind and sparks new ideas.
What’s the first thing you do when you come into work every day?
I clean, organise and prepare the space to deliver great service from the moment we open.
Do you think your shop helps make customers’ lives easier? If so, how?
Yes - we offer something that’s good for your health, quick to grab on the go and full of flavour. Our drinks are made with fruits imported directly from Colombia, so they’re both authentic and unique.
If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be?
Greater resistance and calm, to handle anything the day brings with ease.
